African Centre for Career Mentorship (ACCM)

1. Purpose

This agreement ensures that mentees/clients actively participate in their paid services and that ACCM delivers timely, high-quality professional support for mutual success.

It applies to all ACCM services, including:

  • Scholarship Applications Coaching
  • Personal Discovery & Career Guidance
  • CV Alignment & Cover Letter Development
  • Research & Scientific Writing
  • Grant Writing
  • High School to University Admissions Coaching
  • Human Capital Development Programs

2. Shared Responsibility Model

ACCM services are collaborative. Payment guarantees professional guidance and availability, not passive results. Outcomes depend on active engagement by the client.

3. Responsibilities of the Mentee / Client

The mentee/client agrees to:

  • Initiate contact with the assigned coach within 12 hours of service confirmation.
  • Use ACCM's tools and frameworks in their journey; innovations are allowed from clients after giving feedback on the available tools and frameworks.
  • Respond promptly to messages, emails, and document requests (within 8–72 hours).
  • Prepare adequately for sessions and submit required materials on time.
  • Attend sessions punctually and notify ACCM at least 24 hours in advance if rescheduling is needed.
  • Take ownership of tasks, decisions, and deadlines.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication at all times.

Note: Repeated delays or missed sessions due to the client's inaction may lead to service delays without refunds, as it will be clearly stated on your receipt.

4. Responsibilities of ACCM

ACCM commits to:

  • Providing qualified, professional coaches/mentors.
  • Delivering structured, research-informed guidance.
  • Giving feedback within agreed timelines.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Communicating clearly about expectations and deliverables.

5. Availability & Timelines

  • You are available to attend weekly capacity building sessions on Thursdays at 8:00 – 9:30 PM EAT on Zoom. You will be given the login details once you sign up.
  • Coaches are available during official working hours unless otherwise agreed.
  • Last-minute or emergency requests may not be accommodated.
  • Service timelines will be clearly stipulated on the ACCM receipt.
  • Delays caused by the client do not extend service duration automatically.

6. Service Duration & Engagement

  • Each service has a defined duration.
  • Sessions or support not utilised due to client inaction may expire as stipulated on the ACCM receipt.
  • Extensions are at ACCM's discretion and may attract additional fees.
  • ACCM will organise annual networking events, and as such, it has an ALUMNI WhatsApp group to which you will be added automatically after your service. You can exit the platform at any time.

7. Feedback and Growth

8. Termination Clause

ACCM reserves the right to pause or terminate services if a client repeatedly:

  • Fails to communicate or attend sessions,
  • Disregards agreed timelines,
  • Engages in unprofessional conduct.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

9. Acceptance

By enrolling in any ACCM service, the mentee/client confirms acceptance of this agreement and commits to an active, accountable, and professional mentorship process.
